Pokémon Shuffle Mobile is officially two years old, and as part of the special occasion, a variety of new in-game bonuses and goodies are on the way! To kick off the celebration, players can now receive a Shiny version of the Pokémon Tyranitar as a Log-in Bonus and can use this Pokémon straight away in a new ranked event. More Alolan Pokémon will be making their way to Pokémon Shuffle Mobile with Tapu Koko (from 1 August) and Tapu Lele (from 15 August) appearing for the first time to take on in Ultra Challenges. On top of this, daily challenges will be made available with Pokémon that appeared in a Great Challenge or in other special stages. Starting 1 August, challenges will include extra chances to be rewarded with generous drops such as 3x Mega Speedups. All these goodies will be available in the iPhone, iPad and Android versions…

The new film Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!ditches Brock and Misty, but there’s something that might be even more surprising. This article contains spoilers, so continue reading at your own risk. Up until now, Ash’s Pikachu has communicated by saying variations of “pika” and “Pikachu.” However, in the recently-released film, however, Ash’s Pikachu says more than the standard “pika pika,” speaking Japanese at a climatic point. Here’s how this particular scene plays out in the movie:

In a move resembling the Spearow scene from episode 1, as well as the Mewtwo movie, Ash blocks the hit to protect Pikachu and appears to die.

Pikachu’s Summer Vacation stickers and Pokémon Magikarp Jump theme now available on LINE

The Pokémon Company has released a new set of stickers for the social media mobile app LINE on iOS, Android and Windows Mobile devices. These stickers feature Pikachu and are officially called Pikachu’s Summer Vacation. There are 16 different stickers in this set, which costs 120 yen to download and is only available in Japan until August 21, 2017. In addition to this, two special themes have also been released on LINE. The first is based on the mobile game Pokémon Magikarp Jump and the second features the Kanto starters. They cost 220¥/£2.20/€2.49/$2.49 to download.

New Pokémon plushies revealed for Marshadow, Mareanie, Charjabug, Corsola and Meowth

A new batch of official Pokémon plushies have been revealed by The Pokémon Company. Plushies for Mareanie, Charjabug, Corsola and Meowth will launch on June 24 via Pokémon Center stores in Japan, and the new Mythical Pokémon Marshadow will arrive on July 1.
