As we previously reported, The Art of Super Mario Odyssey book is now available in Japan. As you would expect, screens from the book have found their way online, and the latest is a sketch of how Rosalina could have looked had Nintendo decided to include her in the game. She was scrapped along with Princess Bowser. Perhaps she will appear in the inevitable sequel.
A book has come out today in Japan titled The Art of Super Mario Odyssey and included within the art book is a previously scrapped concept by the Kyoto-based company . The concept art shows the devious Bowser taking over Princess Peach’s body with his own version of Cappy. It obviously didn’t make the finished game, but it would certainly have been interesting if it came into fruition.
In New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Toadette can turn into Peachette by getting a Super Crown. Ever since Peachette was introduced, fans have been trying to recreate what Bowser could potentially look like if he ever got a hold of the same in-game item. They gave him the name Bowsette, who has recently been the main focus of Nintendo fanart all over the Internet. Nintendo is aware of this made-up character but currently has no substantial words to share:
“Concerning the drawings and other things uploaded to the Internet, we have no comment.”
Monolith Soft artist Yasuyuki Honne has revealed that the third game in the acclaimed Baten Kaitos series was canceled. However, he would like the project to be restarted now that development has commenced on Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and its expansions.
“It’s been 10 years since the release of Baten Kaitos 2 (Baten Kaitos Origins) and it’s pains me to continue getting requests for a sequel. Since enough time has gone by I think it’s okay to talk about it a bit. Right after the release of Baten Kaitos 2, I was working on a sequel at Namco (now Bandai Namco) and we were onto pre-productions, however before Baten Kaitos 3 could become a reality, talk between involved parties ended due to circumstances.
Had we released the game, it would’ve been something grand, and would take you to the bottom of the seas, the earth, and the sky. Bandai Namco still has a lot of…

The Pokémon Company, Nintendo and Niantic have officially revealed the new nut head Pokémon, which mysteriously made its debut via Pokémon GO over the past weekend. Its name is Meltan – brand-new Mythical Pokémon that also happens to be a Steel type. Also known as the Hex Nut Pokémon, Meltan will appear in Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. Meltan has a Ditto-shaped body, single black eye and a squiggly red tail. There’s also a confirmed Shiny version of Meltan. Meltan has a body made from liquid metal, and its shape is very fluid. It uses its liquid arms and legs to corrode metal and absorb it into its own body. Meltan uses the metal in its body to generate electricity. It uses this electricity in two ways—as a source of energy and as an attack that can be fired from its eye.

A brand-new update has been dispatched for Pokkén Tournament DX. Available now on Nintendo Switch, patch version 1.3.3 tweaks a total of eight different Battle Pokémon – Lucario, Suicune, Gardevoir, Weavile, Pikachu Libre, Sceptile, Shadow Mewtwo, Darkrai, Croagunk, Empoleon and Decidueye. The Support Pokémon Mega Rayquaza has been tweaked as well. The recently-revealed official patch notes from the development team includes a spelling error related to Sceptile’s name, which is currently misspelled as Septile. This is just to clarify to avoid any confusion among fans. Hopefully Nintendo corrects it as soon as possible.
|Septile||Leaf Blade (Duel Phase)||Increased the stun duration for critical hits.|
|Septile||Leaf Storm||Fixed the issue causing players to be unable to perform a recovery after being struck in midair under certain conditions.|
