In just a few days, the January tournament for Mario Tennis Aces will begin. You will be able to unlock Luma as a playable character a month early, but that’s not all. The UK Nintendo Versus Twitter account has revealed that you will be able to unlock Mario and Luigi’s classic overall outfits. The official tweet can be seen down below, so feel free to check it out.
Both Super Mario Bros and Super Mario 64 are iconic video games. Keen developer Kaze Emanuar has managed to successfully recreate Super Mario Bros in the style of the classic Nintendo 64 title Super Mario 64 and it looks wonderful. This has been a labour of love and is available to download now on your PC. Give it a shot and see what you think of this marvellous concept.
One title which seems to be taking its time is Dragon Quest XI S for the Nintendo Switch. The PlayStation 4 version was released earlier this year but Square Enix have remained quiet about the Nintendo Switch version, until today that is. Dragon Quest XI S will be released in Japan in 2019 and includes optional Japanese voice-overs. There will also be some sort of surprise for the Nintendo fans. Here is the voice cast:
- Erik (voiced by Kouki Uchiyama)
- Veronica (voiced by Maaya Uchida)
- Serena (voiced by Sora Amamiya)
- Sylvando (voiced by Masaya Onosaka)
- Rab (voiced by Mugihito)
- Jade (voiced by Ami Koshimizu)
Competitive Nintendo Switch games to play with your friends this holiday season include Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2 and many more. In a special holiday-themed social media post, Nintendo of America highlights these three titles in particular. You can check it out below:
One of the many announcements at The Game Awards 2018 which took place this month was Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. The game is exclusive for the Nintendo Switch and is developed by Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja. IGN had the chance to speak to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime to get some more information on the project as well as find out whether we can expect other games from the series on the platform.
It did. What happens in the world of development is you have companies who have positive experiences in working together, coupled with franchises being available, and the franchise owner wanting to do something with a particular franchise,” Fils-Aime told IGN. “And in this case, those three elements came together in order to create the opportunity for that game.
And we love that,” he added. “And we’re constantly looking for those types of opportunities. It’s…

NPD‘s hardware news is nothing but good news for Nintendo. But that’s not all. Nintendo had some great news that also came from NPD’s software data. Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee launched in November, and it had a fantastic start. According to NPD analyst Mat Piscatella, “Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee are the No. 5 and No. 6 best-selling games of November, respectively. Launch month sales of Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu are the second highest in franchise history, trailing only Pokémon Stadium, which launched on the Nintendo 64 in the March 2000 tracking period”.
It’s very possible that, because Nintendo doesn’t share digital sales of their games, that Pokemon Let’s Go charted even higher. Also, according to Venture Beat, “if you combine both Pikachu and Eevee, that single game would likely place higher on the sales chart”. As always, the NPD’s software data…

It’s that time again, the SBS just dropped! I was currently in the middle of working on the vivre cards (they should be out pretty soon), so this forced me to pull an all nighter. With that, goodnight, enjoy this!
There isn’t much in this SBS sadly, as most questions are irrelevant or gag questions, but let’s go over the information anyways, as there’s some interesting tidbits:
Pokemon director Junichi Masuda has reiterated the company’s stance that the Pokemon: Let’s GO, Pikachu and Eevee! games are what he describes as “core” titles. Mr. Masuda also stated that other Pokemon games for the Nintendo Switch could connect to the popular Pokemon GO mobile game.
“These games aren’t spin-offs. These are core Pokemon titles. As for whether we would make other games that could connect to Pokemon GO, that will depend on how the games are received. If we hear a lot of people saying that they enjoyed being able to bring Pokemon to these games from Pokemon GO, then we’ll think about maybe having future titles also be able to connect to it.”
